For owners · 30+ employees
Is your company's data worth $100K+?
AI labs are trying to teach their models how real businesses work. Your SOPs, project histories, estimating workflows, CRM records and QA checklists capture years of hard-won operating knowledge. Some data companies now pay businesses to license that kind of material.
One of them is micro1, which runs a company data partnership program. Here's a plain-English summary of what its public pages say, as read on October 19, 2026. Check micro1's own site for the current terms.
What micro1 says it's looking for
- Operationally mature companies, generally 30+ employees, with established documentation.
- Operational data such as SOPs, internal knowledge bases, process docs, CRM data, project histories and QA processes.
- US companies first, then other Western markets. Documentation mainly in English.
Trades businesses with years of job files, estimating playbooks, install checklists and call-center scripts may be a fit. That's for micro1 to decide, not us.
What a company may be paid
micro1's public pages describe company compensation for approved data packages in a range of roughly $100K to $2M+, with larger or highly unique datasets potentially valued higher. Pay is assessed case by case based on things like data volume, quality, complexity and uniqueness.
None of that is guaranteed. Many companies won't qualify, and an approved company may be offered less than these ranges, or nothing. We make no promise about acceptance, timing or amounts.
Privacy and control
micro1 says each partnership defines in advance what data is in scope, the security and confidentiality standards, anonymization or redaction requirements, and internal approvals. It also says companies keep ownership of their data and can review samples. Read the actual agreement carefully, and have your attorney review it, before sharing anything. Never share customer personal information without a proper legal basis.
